The 2011 European Short-Handed Poker Championships was a great success with 656 players taking part. English player Steven King was the eventual winner taking home €63,000. Steven was one of the 54 players who took advantage of the new re-entry option after being eliminated on Day 1A. The 2012 event promises to be even bigger! This year it will be held at The Regency Hotel in Dublin.

The side events were also bigger than 2010. The €300 side event attracted 164 players and the €200 event 133.
